Shell-type structure: robustness and simplicity

The term “shell-type” derives from the specific configuration of the laminated magnetic core, which consists of one E-shaped element and one I-shaped element.
The concentric windings are positioned on the central limb of the E-core, while the two outer limbs complete the magnetic circuit by enclosing the coil. Finally, the I-shaped element closes the magnetic circuit, giving the transformer a compact and stable structure, well suited to ensuring low noise levels and high magnetic performance.
