Description
The three-phase form-wound transformers manufactured by GTS Elettrotecnica are an advanced, efficient and versatile solution, ideal for a wide range of industrial, commercial and civil applications, with power ratings ranging from 70 VA up to 50,000 VA.
The specific definition “on former” comes from the unique construction technique used to make these transformers. The concentric windings are arranged on specific hollow fiberglass formers, specially designed to accommodate the legs of the magnetic laminations, shaped in the characteristic E form. The magnetic circuit is finally completed by an I-shaped element, which securely closes the magnetic structure, ensuring maximum efficiency and excellent thermal management.
This construction system ensures uniform distribution of the magnetic flux, significantly reducing energy losses and improving the transformer’s overall efficiency. Particular attention is paid to defining the connection between the phases of the primary and secondary windings, as well as managing the required angular phase shift between the input and output voltage, allowing perfect adaptability to the specific needs of each installation. Resin impregnation and its polymerization complete the production process.
The three-phase transformers on former by GTS Elettrotecnica also stand out for their high degree of customization. Each model can be customized by varying input and output voltages, physical dimensions and accessory configuration, to fully meet the customer’s technical requirements.
Compliant with the most stringent international standards for safety, insulation and build quality, the three-phase transformers on former by GTS Elettrotecnica ensure reliability, high performance and long service life, representing an excellent technical solution for any type of application.
